Quality Council of India (QCI) and its National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare providers (NABH) have designed an exhaustive healthcare standard for hospitals and healthcare providers, which are divided between patient-centric standards and organization-centric standards and consist of stringent 590 objective elements for the hospital to achieve. NABH is an Institutional Member as well as a Board member of the International Society for Quality in Health Care (lSQua), member of the Accreditation Council of International Society for Quality in Health Care (ISQua) and is on board of Asian Society for Quality in Healthcare (ASQua). The NABH accreditation means stringent quality control and standardization of patient services that eventually improve patient care. Sreedhareeyam was recognized as a Centre of Excellence by AYUSH ministry of Government of India in order to expand the diagnostic capacities of the centre and also to develop scientific lines in Netra Roga (eye diseases) research and development. A documentation centre is established for defining standard treatment protocols and assess the effect of Ayurveda treatment in various eye disorders.
